Welcome Back!
Dear KA Families,
In these past weeks, we have spoken of collaboration and the importance of sharing and hearing our peer's ideas. We realized, sharing and hearing new ideas can help us change our perspective and add onto our prior knowledge. At the end, KA friends concluded that collaborating allows us to work together and meet new goals!
We would like to thank everyone who has participated in our Marvelous March Favorite Book Day! We had so much fun! We look forward to next week Play-Fair Game Day.
Furthermore, we would like to thank all families for sending folders and book baggies on time. We have seen more and more students book shopping and taking their hard work home. Finally, we would like to remind you that school begins at 8:30 but we open our doors at 8:10. We strongly encourage you to come to school on time as this supports our students academic success.
We hope you enjoy the weekend!

https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0f44afa72ba0f85-kacommunity4We are excited to invite our families into the classroom to share about their community/culture/identity with our students. The times presented below are the days that we are inviting you to come and share. The goal of the share is for students to learn about the diversity in our classroom community. The time slot is 30 minutes long, but you're only expected to "share" for about 10-15 minutes.
Remember to take time to be peaceful:

¡Spanish- Español!
Hola Familias de KA,
We have learned mucho in the past weeks en Español. We explored directions (izquierda, derecha, arriba, abajo) by playing games such as: donkey tale, follow the leader and walking through a maze blindfolded, among others. Moreover, we learned about the Cardinal Points (norte, sur, este, oeste), by moving around using a compass. Following, KA also learned about the traffic signs, (Pare, Siga) and how the Traffic lights/Semáforo works.
Aligning to the IB Unit: Transportación KA students explored different types of transportation: carro, autobús, bicicleta, avión, helicóptero, cohete, barco, submarino, among others. We explored the most important ones by playing different theater game to reinforce vocabulary. We even had our driving licenses test, and we pass! ¡Sí, super bien!
Please check out our pictures below and practice the songs with your student at home.
Gracias,
Maestra Rosado
