Seeing the Welborne community come together for our Remembrance Day Assembly was wonderful. Our student hosts, singers, and poetry readers (in French and English) presented so well. Thank you to our wreath bearers and to the student leaders who organized them! We are also thankful for the students who created the artwork that was proudly displayed in the gym. Finally, a huge thank you to Ms. Mignault who planned and organized the assembly.

Volleyball Over the Weekend - Senior Girls and Senior Boys
A huge shout out to the Senior Girls’ volleyball team for their awesome effort in their tournament at KSS this weekend! After losing their first match against a tough Acadie team, they rallied and tied their next three matches. More importantly, they came together as a team by supporting one another and having loads of fun!
Way to go, Wildcats!

- develop awareness of how language and culture interconnect, helping them appreciate and respect the diversity of Canadian and global societies and develop a greater awareness of global issues
- strengthen first language skills

Lice
Anyone can get lice, but it’s more common in children because they are often in close contact playing together. Having head lice doesn’t mean that your child is not clean. Head lice are tiny insects that live on the scalp and can cause itching. They do not spread disease and therefore are not a public health concern. There is no medical reason for your child to be excluded from school or childcare for having head lice. For tips on what to do if your child has head lice visit the Canadian Paediatric Society website.
Here is a helpful video about how to find lice: https://myhealth.alberta.ca/alberta/Pages/how-to-treat-head-lice.aspx
November is Welborne Month at Cobs Bread! It's an excellent fundraising opportunity for us! When you make a purchase at Cobs, tell them that you support Welborne!
