Eagle Eye -JMS Parent Newsletter #3
July 31, 2021 - Week 2
"Intelligence plus character—that is the goal of true education." ~ Martin Luther King Jr.
Thanks so much for a wonderful first week at JMS! It was so amazing to see our students!
A few reminders:
- Please be sure to sign your child's Access 1:1 form in the Family Skyward account! If your child has not yet received their device, please reach out to Ms. Laurendine and we will get it taken care of.
- Attention 7th Grade parents - please be sure you have submitted your child's updated immunization forms indicating they have received 7th grade immunizations! You can drop off a copy to Nurse Cousins or email Ms. Laurendine and we will get it to her.
- When you are dropping off/picking up, please pull your vehicle all the way up so we can keep as many cars as possible off of Fairbanks.
- Please be sure your child is ready to exit the vehicle and doesn't have to access the trunk for items, as this holds up the line.
- Please do not enter the bus loop nearest the softball field if there are buses present at any time!
- Please be sure to review the JMS Student Handbook below so you can be familiar with Dress Code, Cell Phone and other important policies.
- Please be sure to complete and return all back to school handouts your child received in homeroom on Wednesday. Your child can return the completed packet to their homeroom teacher.
We are looking forward to seeing you all at Open House on Tuesday, August 3rd from 6:00pm - 8:00pm!
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out at any time!
Let's have a wonderful week!

FREE BREAKFAST & LUNCH FOR ALL STUDENTS, MENUS & FINGERPRINT SCANNERS
The USDA has extended FREE breakfast and lunch for ALL students this school year!
Please be sure you fill out the Free and Reduced Lunch Form that can be found in the packet of information your child received on Wednesday. We need every family to fill out one of these forms to ensure we can continue receiving USDA free breakfast/lunch for each student.
You will also find a form that will provide you the chance to get your child signed up to use their fingerprint to get their lunch. We will be working to get students scanned this week if they have been given permission. This process allows students to move through the lunch line quicker which allows them more time to enjoy their lunch.
In addition, please find the August Breakfast and Lunch Menus attached below for your convenience!
