SLP Online 7/8 Families,
I hope you each enjoyed the long weekend and were able to relax, spend time with family and friends and enjoy the one day of warmth before the snowstorm.
8th graders - Registration for the 2022-2023 school year wraps up today. I hope you’ve had the chance to learn about the opportunities and course options for next year. Final choices need to be submitted by tonight. Counselors will be following up with any students who do not get their registration in today. You can access all resources - course catalog, registration guide and recorded presentations at SpringLakeParkSchools.org/HSRegistration. Confirmation of course choices will be sent home for families in May and final schedules will be sent home in August. Thank you for your partnership throughout this registration process.

I hope to see some of you at the Panther Party on Saturday. Find everything you need to know at SpringLakeParkSchools.org/GiveBack.

Industry roundtable focuses on the future
Small and large business, non-profit, government and education leaders came together at Spring Lake Park High School last week to discuss the skills graduates need and how school and community can partner to build the future. More than two dozen leaders participated in the industry roundtable conversations, representing a variety of sectors – including retail, hospitality, health care, finance, manufacturing, construction, government and more. Participants provided insight on the skills and mindsets graduates need to succeed in the workforce. Read the full story here.
If you’re interested in becoming a partner by contributing to future opportunities surrounding this work, please contact Eric Van Brocklin, evanbr@district16.org, 763-600-5100.
