JOIN THE GMS TEAM
Governor Morehead School is organizing a team to raise funds for the Foundation Fighting Blindness. This international organization raises funds for research and treatment into inherited retinal diseases. Through their efforts, they have made major strides in helping slow the progression of or reverse the effects of specific retinal disease. Foundation Fighting Blindness has a global footprint, but has a major office right here in Raleigh! Now is our chance to be part of this worthy cause, a cause that has the potential to impact the life of someone you know and care about.
You can participate by joining our GMS Chargers team, or create your own team by raising funds as an individual (that will also credit the total donations collected by our team), and by committing to join us during the Vision Walk. The Vision Walk is a fun-run/walk where many other teams and individuals, including those who have a direct interest in the research and treatment supported by the Foundation Fighting Blindness, will gather to celebrate our success in raising funds. The Triangle Vision Walk is scheduled for April 4th at Church Street Park in Morrisville.
If you can, please consider joining our GMS team, as we are all the GMS Community, by joining our team (Use the link below). Once you join, you can share your donation page with friends and families who can support us through donations and participation at the Vision Walk. You don’t have to raise much to make a difference. And by raising just $100.00 you will get a Vision Walk t-shirt. You’d be surprised how many of your friends and family are willing to chip in and help you with this cause. With email and social networking, it is often very easy to raise as little as $100.00.
I appreciate your support in the coming weeks. Please let me know if you have any questions.

GMS Principal
