COVID-19 Closure Update for OPS
Good afternoon, Otsego families.
As we prepare for distance learning to start on Monday, we are preparing for something completely new. We have been working diligently to get every student what they need.
After identifying students in grades 3-5 who need a device, we began distributing them today.
We are working with those households who need internet access, as well.
Our food distribution continued today and served 1200 kids!
Just a reminder that work packets for Kindergarten - 2nd grade are at the administration office which is open Monday through Thursday from 8am to 3:30pm.
As we’ve said before, this is uncharted territory and I couldn’t be more proud to be a bulldog. Our staff has done an amazing job making sure our students get what they need from the school, books from their classroom or library, and soon, materials and assignments to stay connected and continue to learn over this break and to hear from a familiar voice - their teacher!
There are still a lot of unknowns. Mainly, we don’t know yet if these days will be forgiven from the state, but will pass that information along when we do hear. What we do know... is that we care about your kids. Our students are our priority; and our mission and passion to educate them does not stop when school is closed. We are doing our best and will keep working to do whatever we can for our kids during these uncertain times. We’re thankful for the resources we have at OPS and for this amazing community. Thank you.
