Call for Volunteers!
I hope this newsletter finds you well and in the holiday spirit! We are getting close to our winter break and the end of 2014. It has been a fun, yet busy, four months together. It's always shocking when this time of the year arrives and you begin to realize almost half the year is behind us already.
Over the past few months, we have had weekly visits from Jenny Shinder, a community volunteer who runs the Kindness Club in our classroom. Next Wednesday, December 17 she has planned a Diversity Celebration to go along with the theme of acceptance. She has prepared small activities that are related to different religions/cultures and their celebrations. She is hoping to have a minimum of 5 adults in the room at this time to coordinate all the different activities. We will have this celebration from 11:50 - 1:30 on the 17th. If you are available and willing to come in and support this initiative, it would be greatly appreciated! Please send me an e-mail if you are available.
We have lots of other things coming up! So read on to find more information on that.
All the best,
Mr. Lafrance

Winter Holiday Celebration!
If you would like to contribute a snack for the Winter Holiday party, you're welcome to do so. Nobody is obligated. This is the second of 4 days in the academic year we are allowed to bring food to school, so I will definitely be taking advantage of that!
Snacks should always be nut free as their are many allergies in the school. Another reminder that we do have 2 students who are gluten free, so as much as possible, if you could accommodate that with your snack, that would be great!
