Superintendent Information
Dear Jaguar Families,
Just a reminder that we have an adjusted schedule this week.
On Monday and Tuesday students will be dismissed at our regular dismissal at 3:05 pm but Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday students are dismissed at 12:00 pm for parent conferences.
On behalf of the staff at Easton School, have a safe and restful Spring Break, April 1 - April 5.

Parent/Teacher Conference Sessions will be held on:

Thursday 3.28.24 12:15 - 5:15 pm & 5:45 - 7:00 pm
Elementary Jags
Elementary teachers will reach out directly to parents and set up conference appointments.
Secondary Jags
Spring Conferences will be held again in the multi-purpose room No appointments are needed.

National Civics Bee
The following Easton Students will be competing in the National Civics Bee Competition, sponsored by the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce.
Austin Brown, Dylan Liberty, Finley Hickey, Madyson Crider, Dixie Grove, Wyatt Heyer
The students are from Mrs. Marchel Allenbaugh's Middle School Social Studies classes.
The next round of completion is at the Hal Holmes Center in Ellensburg on Saturday April 6 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm

New Easton School Bus
We are happy announce the delivery of a brand new Easton School Bus! The bus purchase was approved by the Easton School Board during the November 2023 Board meeting. This bus will now serve as #1 and current bus #4 will be placed on our surplus list in the near future.

Jag Pre-school is available at no cost to our Easton parents.
Our Jag Pre-School runs from 8:30-11:30 am Tuesday to Thursday with two caring staff members working with our youngest Jags!

JAG Kindergarten
Know a child turning 5 before Sept. 1?
Register now for kindergarten at Easton School!
Children must be 5 years old before Sept. 1, 2024, to be eligible. Children learn through play and engaging hands-on experiences. In kindergarten, children will learn how to make friends, share, and grow in many ways. They will learn to read, write and develop math skills.

Easton Environment Research Project
The main component of our Easton Environment Research Project, was installed last week.
A “Polludrone” as been installed on the back side of the building above the Art room(see pictures below). This was part of the equipment purchased from the Outdoor Education grant awarded earlier this Fall.
The Polludrone is a versatile air quality monitor that measures particualte matter, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, surlfur dixoide, nitrous oxide and hydrogen sulfide along with ambient noise,
light, UV, temperature, rain fall, wind speed and humidity.
Once fully installed and programmed, we will add all the data collected to the website(real-time) for
samples for the research project but also as an ongoing weather station for the school.

Most items are received within 10 business days at the address provided. Each purchase includes a small fee which goes directly to our Associated Student Body (ASB) account and must be used only on student activities, arts, and athletics related expenses, including: Field Trips, Coaches, Uniforms, sports transportation, Referees, Activity Bus, and equipment.

Dentist at Easton in May
The dentist will be at Easton school during the school day of Thursday, May 2nd. You can sign up your student online and there are also forms at the front office.
