Diverticulitis

Diverticulitis-inflammation of a diverticulum, especially in the colon, causing pain and disturbance of bowel function.
Diverticulitis is caused by an infection of the lining of the abdominal wall, may develop if infection spills into the abdominal (peritoneal) cavity.
To prevent Diverticulitis eat a high-fiber diet that is low in fat and red meat, drink plenty of water, exercise regularly.
- Belly pain, usually in the lower left side, that is sometimes worse when you move. This is the most common symptom.
- Fever and chills.
- Bloating and gas.
- Diarrhea or constipation.
- Nausea and sometimes vomiting.
- Not feeling like eating.
