Spring Term Technology Competition
To celebrate a year of the ground-breaking INEOS Go Humans Academy masterclass series, a competition is open to all UK students aged 11 - 18 to design a helmet for Sir Lewis Hamilton.
To be in with a chance of your helmet design being photographed with Lewis at a 2024 Grand Prix event, as well as exclusive F1-signed merchandise and experiences, use the template to let your creativity and imagination run wild. The judges will be looking for designs that celebrate and promote a sense of inclusion.
If you would like to take part, all entries must be handed to the Technology Department by Friday 22nd March to allow us to submit them to the competition on your behalf. Your name & tutor group must be written on the back (not the front) of your sheet. The template sheets will be sent out via Satchel One.
All entries will receive merits.
Year 11 Mock Interview Day
On Thursday 7th March, our Year 11 students will be taking part in our Mock Interview Day. The students will attend school on that day dressed for an interview. They will meet business owners and employers for a 1:1 interview. They will have their CV reviewed and feedback given.
Mock Interviews offer a fantastic opportunity for our students to have a realistic job interview with business people. At CVHS every Year 11 student will have a 15/20 minute interview and will receive feedback on their interview. We will try to match students to areas of interest, this will give students the opportunity to speak more generally about their strengths and skills. Preparation is key to the success of the mock interview activity.
Students have been preparing CVs in advance of the interviews and been taught about how to carry out a successful interview through their Personal Development lessons through tutor time last term.
FAME Jr
We have been excited to announce the full cast for our production of FAME Jr this week. We had our first rehearsal on Wednesday that was well attended and already the cast are sounding good! There are a large number of students from across year groups involved, however, if your child has auditioned to be in the show but no longer wishes to participate, please ask them to let us know so we can remove them from the cast list and future correspondence.
Each week in the Bulletin, we will publish the rehearsal schedule for the following week. This will also be sent home via In Touch.
