The Renaissance: History
The Renaissance was the period of time where great cultural advances happened in Europe. Great Painters and scientists came from this time, such as Leornado Da Vinci. The Renaissance began in the Italian peninsula because of its location as the gateway to Eastern trade.The outstanding feature of Renaissance in Italian society was the degree to which it was urban. The people of the renaissance's values were based on the revival of humanism—that is, an interest in an education program based on the languages and values of Classical Greek and Roman cultures.Than in the fifteenth century, Renaissance values spread northward to the rest of Europe.
Reform
The Renaissance brought in new conceptions of life and the world
It also reformed education and led to advancements in Science , astronomy, and chemestry.One of the most famouse events during the Renaissance was the world exploration, when Columbus sailed to the new world in 1492.Art and literature is forever changed and the printing press led to spread of literacy and education
It also led to questioning of Church teachings, which erupted with the Protestant Reformation of the 1500’s. It laid the foundation for “Modern” History
The Renaissance was responsible for the European domination of the world, it let people of those times think different and opened doors to new opportunities. The Renaissance as a whole increased the quest for knowledge, wealth and spirituality.
