For members of our learning community - January 6th, 2017
Charlestown Rec. Basketball is Cancelled for Tomorrow, January 7th due to the next storm.
4th Grade Spelling Bee
We are always amazed at our student performance both with spelling the words and with standing up in front of all classmates, teachers and some parents.
The end of the bee became tense again this year as the final students needed to spell two consecutive words correctly to be deemed the winner.
Congratulations to Elijah Schonrog who is our Spelling Bee Winner.
Congratulations to Lily Spence who is our Spelling Bee Alternate.
We wish Eli luck as he competes with other Chariho students from grades 4-8 at the District Spelling Bee on February 8th at 6:30 pm at Chariho Middle School. All families are invited to attend.
Student of the Trimester Breakfast
Congratulations to: Mia Cleary, Ryann Denecour, Addyson Denecour,
Cailin Sefranek, Ayahnalo Mathews, Eiley Simmons, Adchaeu Harris,
Yoyatche Harris, Allison Miguel, Steven Packer, Gideon Toneatti,
Trent Burdick, Jaziah Buchanan, and Reese Gaccione.
Winter Recess Procedures
We have the students without waterproof boots either borrow boots from the clinic or remain on the paved areas near the playground.
Students who wear full snow gear (boots, snow pants, jacket, gloves) can play actively in the snow. They are very exited when they can play, roll and build with friends in the snow!!! It is so fun for them to play in the snow with their classmates!
Below is a list of what your child needs to actively play in the snow. Please email us if you need assistance with getting some gently used items. We always appreciate donations of these items as well and will pass them along to student in need.
Snow Play Items:
Waterproof Snow Boots
Snow Pants
Warm Jacket
Snow Gloves
Hat
Reusable bag to keep all items in the classroom. Cloth shopping bags with handles work great!
