Michael Jordan
Retired Professional Basketball Player
Early life
When he was young, his family moved back to their hometown of Wilmington, North Carolina. Everyone worked hard in the family-- except for him. He played basketball and baseball delivering the same amount of energy as his family when they worked. At first, Michael was not likely to be a professional basketball player-- something he dreamed about.
Getting involved

He was a part of the 1982 College Basketball National Championship team as North Carolina won. He spent two more seasons on the UNC team and was named All-American in 1983 and 1984 and Sporting News college player of the year in 1983.
He was the co-captain of the 1984 U.S. olympic basketball team in which they won gold.
