Glanmire Foróige Youth Project & Cork Young Filmmakers offer this great opportunity for any young person interested in any aspect of film making, in front of or behind the camera!
This intensive practical two day workshop is geared towards aspiring young filmmakers, aged from 12 to 21, with a strong interest in enhancing their film making skills. Young filmmakers working as a group will learn film making techniques.
No previous experience necessary, whether you are a beginner looking to check it out, or you have some experience - looking to build your skills, or just interested in making a short film this is a perfect place to start! CONTACT US NOW!
Cork Young Filmmakers, with CDYS Midleton is holding a two day ANIMATION Workshop for young people (12-21 years old) on Wednesday 28th & Thursday 29th October.10.30- 4.30pm. This 'hands-on' workshop will take place at My Place a spectacular new community based facility in Midleton, and will provide 12 participants with an introduction to claymation, paper cut out animation and pixilation. Learn about the basic principles of animation- Script development and storyboarding- Making sets, puppets and animating them- Editing scenes and adding sound effects!
By the end of the 2 days the participants will have made a short animated film and learned the basics of stop motion animation.

BRIERY GAP MACROOM TWO DAY DIGITAL FILMMAKING WORKSHOP
Cork Youth Filmmakers are coming to The Briery Gap Macroom in October to deliver training as part of the County Council and SECAD backed young filmmakers training in County Cork. Join Cork Film Centre trainers for 2-days of training to experience the hands-on approach to making a digital short film. A creative and engaging programme, this is suitable for young people, age 12-21, with an interest in developing their skills and confidence in front of and behind the camera. Dates: Tuesday 27th & Wednesday 28th October. Cost: €20.

Cork Film Centre Ballincollig- TWO DAY DIGITAL FILMMAKING WORKSHOP
Make a Short Film – A Two-Day Film Making Workshop in Ballincollig
Are YOU interested in a hands-on two day workshop geared towards young people, aged from 12 to 21, with a keen interest in enhancing their film making skills? Young filmmakers working as a group will learn film making techniques. You will script your own drama, shoot the scenes, act, direct and crew a short film under the guidance of professional filmmakers from Cork Film Centre. Day 2 will be all action! a full day devoted to the shooting of a short digital film, giving participants the opportunity to experience the film making process in more depth.
The weekend workshop will take place on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th November, 10.30 am - 4.00 pm, at the Cork Film Centre Gallery, located on the site of Ballincollig’s historical Gunpowder Mills. Full cost €20. Places will be offered on a ‘first come’ basis and are strictly limited to 12.

Summer Film Week, presented by Cork Film Centre’s Cork Young Filmmakers Program, returned in June for its 9th annual ‘Make a Film in a Week’ program for aspiring filmmakers ages 12 – 21 in Midleton.
For anyone interested in film making either through script writing, directing, acting, set design or sound or editing it is so rewarding - lots of fun, meet new people, build on your skills and get hands on experience in making film! This amazing opportunity offers young people in County Cork unparalleled access to in-depth, personal instruction from professional filmmakers. Film making provision to young people in County Cork under this programme has been operating successfully since 2006 under the title First Cut!. Since 2014 the programme is known as ‘Cork Young Filmmakers’, a Cork County Youth Arts Training Programme.
The youth film making training programme formerly known as First Cut! Youth Film Project and Festival, is now managed by Cork Film Centre, who engage professional film makers and animators with experience in training and working with young people of all abilities.The name First Cut! since December 2013 is used solely for the annual Youth Film Festival due to take place next in April, 21-23, 2016 at the Mall Arts Centre, Youghal, Co. Cork with continued support from Cork County Council.
