October News - Roy B Kelley Elem
Dear Roy B Kelley Families,
We have finished our first month of school and it has been busy! It was so great to see so many of you at Open House on our first day of school.
We have a new social worker this year, Vanessa Patterson Bancroft. Mrs. Bancroft is not new to the district and has worked in many of our buildings. Mrs. Bancroft is also a Lockport Alum!
We are off to a great start to our year. Please feel free to contact me with any concerns or questions you may have.
Best,
Barbara Converso
Substitute Principal, Roy B. Kelley Elementary School
As a reminder, parents and students may log on to The Portal to review attendance, grades and other pertinent information. If you need assistance, please contact Bill Bisher at
wbisher@lockportschools.net or (716) 478-4485.
STAR reports were sent home with students last week. This document was shared with parents to help keep them informed of their child’s progress in reading and math. If you did not receive it, or have any questions about the report or your child’s results, please contact his/her teacher directly.
Superhero of the Month
We are starting something new this year. For the past few years we have celebrated superhero students four times per year. We would like to include more students so we are changing this to a Superhero of the month from each class or special area teacher. This will allow us to have more students to celebrate! We are also encouraging students to nominate superhero teachers as well!! Students will be recognized with a certificate and recorded on our video announcements.

Housed on the 1st floor of the Cornerstone Arena, the center is strategically located in the city to help those who will benefit most from its use.
