Principal Ponderings: Looks Like We've Made It
I know that I won't be having lengthy sit-down conversations with everybody, but I must say that I have thoroughly enjoyed hearing from you. I love listening to you talk about what you have been most proud of in your work, what memories stick out for you that have happened throughout the year, and how doggone hard you work at providing a great learning experience for our kids. A few things have stuck out to me in my conversations thus far.
1. I hope our kids know how much you care about them. I loved hearing stories that involved individual students that may fly under the radar, choose to keep a low profile, or are "hard to love". If you aren't sure if they know how you feel, tell them!
2. We are always improving our craft. I expect no individual to be perfect based on the sole belief that we can always get better at something. Keep working hard. I see you!
3. We are all in this together. On a staff of our size, we are all going to be going through different seasons in our career. Share compliments, not complaints. Offer support, not judgment. Walk alongside, not in front or from behind. The success of one of us is the success of all of us.
Enjoy the last five days. While I am looking forward to summer and the plans that have been made, I'm going to miss the day to day of LMS.

8th-grade Clap Out
In an effort to ensure that things go smoothly upon Wednesday's exit and to show our appreciation for our outgoing 8th graders, please, follow the plan below. It should be jovial and fun while at the same time resembling some type of order.
8th grade will be released by me over the PA at 10:58
- 6th and 7th grade retrieve items from the locker and line the hallways
- 7th-grade line up starting at the 8th-grade hallway doors on two sides creating a "path"
- 6th grade fill in where 7th grade leaves off, probably near the intersection of 8th and 7th-grade hall
- All exits for all grade levels will be through the front door lobby and cafeteria hallway
- Mindy will stand by 8th-grade hallway exterior doors to stop exits through that door
- 8th-grade general ed teachers, walk behind your kids following them through the path and then exit to parent pick up lot
- 6th-grade staff, follow students out to the bus pick up
- 7th-grade Lakeshore staff, follow students out to bus pick up
- 7th-grade Lancer staff, follow students out to parent pick up
- Related Arts staff, follow students out to parent pick up
- All others out the front lobby to the bus pick up
See the buses off and hang in the parent pick up for a few.
