Our counselor shared this great resource with our students:
From the office...
What should I do if my child loses their bus tag?
Please see Ms. Lei at the front desk to order a replacement. The white SMART tag costs $3.00 and the reel that attaches it to backpacks costs $5.00. You must pay with cash or check at the time you order a replacement tag. It can take up to a week for the new printed SMART tags to arrive at Serene Hills.
What should I do if my child is absent?
We only accept written notices of absence. You can mark your child absent in School Dismissal Manager, send a handwritten note into the office when they return to school, or email the teacher and/or registrar. milamd@ltisdschools.org
Should I call the school if my child is going to be late?
That is not necessary. We will mark students "tardy" when they arrive unless they have a note from a doctor or dentist. There is no such thing as an excused tardy. If your child arrives after 10:00 am without a note from a doctor or dentist, they are marked absent for the day.

FRESH START RUN CLUB IS BACK!
Dear Parents,
Kids have been asking, school is off to a great start, and the weather is turning cooler...(maybe;) fingers crossed!). S.H.E. run club is open to K-5th graders who would like to start their mornings off with a run on the track. We are going to meet in the mornings from 7:20-7:40 up on the track. All are invited. Students must be on time. If they come after 7:25 we will send them to class. We will kick off the first fall run on October 1st. Please be on time!
I am asking you to commit to supervising with me at least one day this fall. (Pick any day, I don’t need to know in advance) With our growing campus I simply can’t supervise all kiddos alone adequately so I am asking for your help. If you can supervise and run/walk with us more than once, feel free to do so.
Student will report to the gym between 7:20-7:25 to leave their belongings inside, grab their EZ scan card, and then head to the track. A coach or adult will lead them up. The first week will be a bit hairy as we get kids EZ cards out from their class and organized for run club buckets. Parent support this week would be awesome! When it is your day to supervise you are welcome to walk/run with us or just hang out by the ipads to help kids scan as needed. Your child will need to be dressed PE ready. It is a privilege to come to the run club. Students’ behavior and effort must meet expectations.
Run club helps students get a fresh start to their morning and enter the classroom ready to learn. All grade levels can come Monday-Thursday. If it gets too crowded we will split it back up. We will not meet Fridays due to ACE and assembly days. If it is rainy or the weather is below 40 degrees we will not meet.
I am looking forward to working with your kiddos and helping them start their mornings off on the right foot!
