The DHS Art Club is shaped by the leadership and members of the club and is guided and coached by the advisors. In the past, Art Club has taken many forms--an open studio time where students who can not elect to take a visual arts course can receive instruction; a place where art students can have extra supervised studio time; a community service organization where students fundraise for a variety of causes--scholarships, animals, the needy; and a place where students can create work which they can market to raise funds for co-curricula and extra curricula excursions. The members of Art Club along with the advisors will draft their mission statement and create a plan for the year of club meetings.
