Have your child:
1. Listen to the story by Eric Carle "Do You Want to Be My Friend?"
2. Has there ever been a time when you were brave like the mouse? Write a beginning, middle, end story about it.
*Make sure your sentences make sense, have spaces between the words, and punctuation at the end.
Math Homework
Monday - Practice identifying coins. Find a penny. Describe its attributes (brown, round, worth 1 cent, has Abraham Lincoln on the front, has The Lincoln Memorial on the back, etc.) Write a sentence or two and describe the penny.
ex: The penny is worth one cent.
Tuesday - Practice identifying coins. Find a nickel. Describe its attributes (silver, round, worth 5 cents, has Thomas Jefferson on the front, has The Monticello on the back, etc.) Write a sentence or two and describe the nickel.
ex: The nickel has Thomas Jefferson on the front.
Wednesday - Practice identifying coins. Find a dime. Describe its attributes (silver, round, worth 10 cents, is very small, has Franklin Roosevelt on the front, has a torch, olive branch, & oak branch on the back, etc.) Write a sentence or two and describe the dime.
ex: The dime has a torch on the back.
Thursday - Practice identifying coins. Find a quarter. Describe its attributes (silver, round, large, worth 25 cents, has George Washington on the front, has The Bald Eagle on the back, etc.) Write a sentence or two and describe the quarter.
ex: The quarter is a large coin.
Friday - No homework. Have a great weekend!
