Student ID & Bus Badges-Revised
It is both a building and district expectation that all students wear their district issued ID badges when at school. The initial badges and lanyards are provided by the district and up to this point the school has paid for badge and or lanyard replacements. Unfortunately, this has become a costly endeavor. During the week of January 15th we had free lanyards and badges for any student who needed them. Students without badges will be required to purchase new ones with 50 PBIS points. This includes ID badges, bus badges and lanyards. We ask that parents send in $1 for replaced items. At that time we will return the PBIS points to a student's account.
The purpose of the badges is one of security. Were there a true emergency a student might end up with a teacher who doesn't know them, thus the badge. Bus Badges are required and drivers may refuse to allow the student on the bus.
Students who consistently either lose or refuse to wear their IDs will receive a consequence resulting in an office referral. Thank you for supporting our safety efforts at Willbern.
Mid-Year Conferences
Teachers will be contacting parents to attend Mid-Year Conferences for students who are:
*performing below grade level
*are at risk of failing
*have more than 11 absences
*are at risk of being placed on retained for the next school year.
We encourage you to make every effort to partner with us to help your child finish out the year strong!
Please note that due to testing there will be no lunch visitors on the following days:

Title I School Parent Right to Know
TITLE I - EVERY STUDENT SUCCEEDS ACT (ESSA)
The (Every Student Succeeds Act) ESSA grant contains provisions for ensuring that children who are disadvantaged and enrolled in private schools also benefit from the academic enrichment services funded with Title I, Part A funds.
Title I is a federal program that provides funds to school districts and schools with high numbers of high percentages of children who are disadvantaged to support a variety of services. The overall purpose of Title I funding is to ensure that all children have a fair, equal and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging state academic achievement standards and assessments.
