SCROLL & ROLL IN ACTION
Scholar-Led Conferences
We are very excited about Scholar-Led Conferences taking place this week! These conferences provide a wonderful opportunity for your child to take ownership of their learning journey and showcase their progress. Please sign-up for our conference time with your scholars' teachers.
Scholar-Led Conferences are a unique and meaningful way for both you and your child to gain insights into their academic and personal growth. Rather than the traditional parent-teacher conferences where teachers speak primarily to parents, these conferences empower scholars to actively engage in the conversation about their education. During the conference, your child will discuss Wildly Important Goals (W.I.Gs), Learning, Leadership, and Celebrations.
The Scholar-Led Conference is not only a chance for your child to shine but also for you to actively support and engage in their educational journey. Your presence and encouragement will have a significant impact on their motivation and commitment to learning.
Some of the benefits of Student-Led Conferences, include that they provide students with
opportunities to:
- Be active participants in the learning process.
- Take ownership for learning.
- Evaluate self-progress.
- Practice communication and critical thinking skills.
March 12th Voting Day
Tuesday, March 12th is the Presidential Preference Primary in the state of Georgia. Our school will serve as a voting location while school is still in session. Voting will take place in the gym and this location will be blocked off to prevent access to the other parts of the building.
Contribute to Our Community Cookbook
As we gear up for our upcoming MAC Fest here at school, we're excited to highlight the diversity of our community through food! We believe that food is a powerful storyteller, and we'd love to feature the authentic flavors and cherished recipes that reflect your family's heritage.
We invite you to share a recipe that holds a special place in your cultural and family traditions. Along with the recipe, feel free to include a short note about its significance or a fond family memory associated with it. Let's make this festival a true celebration of the cultural richness that makes our community unique!
Submit your recipes, photos, and stories here: https://forms.gle/EcyrJAau2AWM5bf49
If you have any questions, please reach out to Ashley Neal at nealash@clarke.k12.ga.us, Sarah Paige Fairbairn at fairbairns@clarke.k12.ga.us, or Jennifer Flores at floresj@clarke.k12.ga.us.

Examples of something that you could contribute:
