Wishing you a Wonderful Easter Weekend!
Your Life Speaks Assembly on April 6th
We are excited to have Nathan Harmon back at our school again this year. Nathan is an international speaker and the founder of Your Life Speaks. Nathan speaks at Universities, public and private schools, conferences, retreats and many other venues coast to coast. He has been recognized as the Top Booked School Speaker in 2017, 2018 & was booked at over 200+ schools in 2019.
Nathan's message comes from a combination of a troubled past and a great desire to help others overcome many of his same struggles. In his younger years Nathan battled divorced parents, suicidal thoughts, self harm, alcohol and drug addictions, bulimia and eventually jail.
He focuses on 5 things:
1. Learn to live a life of transparency
2. Accountability
3. Working hard
4. Power to make good choices
5. Value people

Social Media and Technology Use
The school has dealt with an increased number of behavioral issues associated with the use of technology and social media platforms outside of the school and school hours. As a school we regularly encourage and educate students to be respectful, responsible and positive in all of their interactions with others. School devices are monitored while on our network by Bark Software, but not devices that are not on our school network. We are asking you as parents to not only help reinforce these same types of interactions but to closely monitor your student(s) time with technology and social media.

Word of the Week (April 5th - 11th) - FORGIVENESS
Counter word- Rejection
Clearing the record of those who have wronged me and not holding a grudge.
I will…
-Be quick to forgive.
-Not cover up my own wrongs but will be quick to ask for forgiveness.
-Not seek revenge.
-Not take up offenses for others.
How to Value those Around you
1. Instead of judging people by their past, stand by them and help them build their future.
2. Listen with curiosity, speak with candor, and act with integrity.
3. Treat everyone with kindness--not because they are kindhearted, but because you are.
4. Don't try to make yourself great by making someone else look small.
5. Remember, everyone has a story.
