One Community Rooted in Faith
Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.
Colossians 2:6-7
Dear Parents,
- We will be closed on Monday, September 3rd, in observance of Labor Day.
- We enjoy offering Aftercare for students who need to remain after school and who are not under the care of another teacher or coach. It is imperative that you pick up your children no later than 5:30. Charges will be incurred for each additional minute. The phone number for Aftercare is 256-652-6786. Thank you!
- Please remember to keep your student home if they are sick. Per the handbook, students must be symptom-free (including, but not limited to fever, rashes, pink eye, vomiting, etc.) for 24 hours without the aid of medication. If your child has started on antibiotics, they may return 24 hours after the first dose was given.

Chapel
Our Chapel Team consists of Upper School students who assist with Chapel services each Thursday at Westminster Presbyterian Church. They assist with worship team, praise band and singers, audio visual needs, and sharing their love of Jesus Christ.
Last week, our Chapel was lead by seniors, Ian Thies and Jayden Landrom. Ian shared with the student body the verse he presented to the senior class as their senior verse. Ian explained what 1 Peter 4:8-11 means to the class and challenged the student body to hold them accountable as senior leaders.
Jayden Landrom followed with a message reminding the Westminster family to avoid the dangers of comparison.
We invite our Westminster Family to join us at Chapel each week on Thursdays at Westminster Presbyterian Church from 10:10 until 10:55am.

Spanish Club!
Interested in joining the Club de Español?
The WCA Spanish Club is open to students in grades 9-12 who are currently enrolled in Spanish I, II, or III or who have previously completed at least one year of high school Spanish. The purpose of the WCA Spanish Club is to provide students who are genuinely interested in learning more about Hispanic culture with the opportunity to engage in activities outside of regular school hours that will broaden their knowledge of the Spanish language and the Spanish-speaking world. If you would like to be a member of the WCA Spanish Club, please sign up with Mrs. Montgomery and pay your $20 dues (which include a club t-shirt!) by Friday, September 7th. Contact Mrs. Montgomery (emily.montgomery@wca-hsv.org) for more information.
