KUDOS----to Ms. Mosqueda and Dr. Bailey. One of Betty's students was facing a very difficult health and safety situation once he was already home. Both went to assist and stayed with the child and his sibling the whole time until the immediate need was met. Thank you ladies for going above and beyond!
Corona Virus--some basic tips
*Wash your hands frequently and allows students to do the same
*Avoid touching your face (eyes, nose and mouth) if at all possible
*If you see any ill children with flu like symptoms, refer them to our health aide.
*Stay informed--here is a key website: https://www.cdph.ca.gov/Programs/CID/DCDC/Pages/Immunization/nCOV2019.aspx.
Bright Spots Recognition---LCAP Goal 2: Proficiency for All
On March 5th, Dr. Bailey, myself and district representatives attended an event at CSUMB where San Vicente Elementary was recognized for its academic growth. The Bright Futures organization is a conglomerate of Monterey County education leaders and community parters that has set specific goals in seven (7) goal areas. We were the only school south of Gonzales recognized in the category of academic growth in Language and Literacy (Goal 3). We are considered a "Super Duper" school due to demonstrated growth for four (4) subgroups and therefore a Bright Spot!
This is a direct result of the hard work of the teachers and staff at San Vicente. The admin team members present at the ceremony were just representatives. Here is the link to their website. Please explore and enjoy: https://brightfuturesmc.org/en/home-2/

Enjoy your conference!
