Simply Amazing
I hope that you had a great long weekend. I am so proud that most of us have our board protocols done. I am even more proud that we are looking and feeling more and more like the TEAM that I know we can and will be. I love our connections with each other through teaching and learning. Please let's keep moving....ALL the WAY UP!

Professional Learning
Mrs. Guinyard's Reminders
TESTING
State and District ACT Online Testing will begin Februrary 25, 2020 with a testing window of February 25-27, 2020 and March 3-5, 2020. ACT Testing and Administrator Training will be scheduled this week. A Mock Test Administration will take place Wednesday.
AdvanceEd Student Surveys will be administered for each grade level beginning this week. This is a 20 minute survey that all students must complete. Survey administration instructions and grade level schedules for survey completion will follow. I will meet with teachers of each grade level to assist with administration for middle school and assistance will be provided to high school teachers that have a first period class. All students must complete the online survey.
DISCIPLINE
Teachers are reminded that it is extremely important that parents are contacted, a parent-teacher conference has occurred, and this conference is properly documented in Educator's Handbook for minor offenses.
DUTY
February 17-21, 2020-Team 3
All members of Team 2 are reminded to be at their duty post at the designated times.

Weekly Updates
- Individual Graduation Plan Conferences will be ongoing for the month of February. These conferences will range from 10-30 minutes.
- The Black History Month Spirit Week is below. The HYPE Squad is looking for 100% participation!
Reminders:
- Make sure to enter at least 2 grades per week. Students are expressing concerns about not knowing where they stand in courses due to lack of grade input.
- If a student misses 3 consecutive days, please email Ms. Tiller and make parent contact.
- High school students enrolled in VirtualSC/APEX courses should be allowed to work on their coursework during Eagle Focus.
- Please make sure to contact parents about student's progress in your class.
- Content recovery is a district mandate. Please refer to guidelines sent out last semester.
- Please remember to make referrals using the form in OneDrive for students who you believe are having challenges academically and/or personally/socially.

Board Protocols
2. I saw awesome teaching in Dr. Gadson's room. She had the students engaged from beginning to end. She utilized her lesson summary effectively! Go Dr. Gadson! (could not get video to attach but will send as soon as I figure it out).
3. Mr. Marsh made a poster of the board protocols for his department and it shows.
