Club Day for 3-5 Grade Students
Classroom Celebrations
Parties
While celebrations are important for young students, there is a need to limit the number of noninstructional parties scheduled during the year. Each elementary school will plan and schedule three parties for students in PreK-Fifth Grade. There will be a Winter Party during the week prior to Winter Break, a Valentines Party on February 14, and an End of Year Party held during the last week of school. Parents and guardians may participate. Parties will be limited to 30 minutes. In addition, parents may send treats for all students in a class on Halloween.
Student Birthdays
- Students' birthdays will be announced on the morning announcements and placed on the school marquee.
- Parents and guardians may bring or send an edible treat for all students in the class on their child's birthday. All students must continue to receive a meal through the school's culinary service. The food item provided by the family must be consumed during their lunch period in the cafeteria. Balloons, flowers, presents, etc. will not be allowed.
Snacks and Treats for Classroom or Special Celebrations
Packaged outside treats can be brought in for classroom or special celebrations.
Eating Lunch w/Students
Lunch with Students and Meals from Outside Vendors
Each class has a designated lunch period. Parents and guardians may eat lunch with their child during this time. Parents are encouraged to support culinary service's offerings and may purchase meals at school. Parents may bring meals from outside vendors but may not have meals delivered using a delivery service.

Proposed 2023-2024 Calendar
The school districts in Anderson County have worked together to create and propose the school calendar for the school year 2023-24. We are asking for input from community and family members as we move forward. The goal of the committee was to put student success first! This calendar allows for all stakeholders to have access to the best educational model available. Please click the link the view the 2023-24 proposed calendar.

Clear Bag Policy
As part of our ongoing effort to provide a safe and secure school environment for our students and staff, Anderson School District Five will be implementing a clear bag policy for high school and middle school football games. Further adjustments to this policy may be enacted prior to the beginning of winter sports.
Prohibited bags include, but are not limited to:
- Purses - larger than a clutch bag
- Camera cases
- Briefcases
- Backpacks
- Cinch bags
- Tinted/printed pattern plastic bags
- Diaper bags
- Mesh bags
Diapers and other baby supplies can be carried into the stadium in a clear bag. Infant formula, milk, or medicine needing refrigeration is allowed in a small soft-side cooler, and is subject to search at the gate.
Below is a graphic that shows the types of bags that are allowed, and those that are prohibited.
