Parent Conference Night
We are now at Parent Conference Night!! If you and your team have not already, please brainstorm how to Level Up our parent conferences. What preparation can make this meeting a great engagement with the parents, how can we show the kids we are a team together, and what can we deliver to our stakeholders to show them we truly care?
On parent conference night, be sure to show parents examples of student work, data, improvement trends, and areas of need and how we are planning to meet those needs. Be sure to give concrete evidence of implementing our IB PYP framework. Utilize the opportunity to strengthen the parent relationship which will pay dividends throughout the semester.
PTA will be sponsoring a Pizza Dinner, pizza should be delivered and ready to eat by 3:30 pm !
If you would like me or Calixto at any of your parent conferences, please let us know soon :-)
Reminder, our campus PD Day is on Friday, October 18th. We will have a focus of PD on Inquiry and Exhibition, what these IB Frameworks look like in lower grades and upper grades. If you would like to present on either of these topics (one hour session), please let me know. The PD schedule will be finalized on Tuesday.
Presenters will receive a One Week Jeans pass to use when they would like.
This week, 3rd - 5th Grade, we will be looking for Intentional Monitoring implementation. If you have any questions on how to use the form, coding, or data use, please let me, Calixto, Hernandez, or Bias know and we will help. This process should closely align with the active monitoring we already do.
Please let me know how I can help or feel free to offer upgrades to me.
Onward!
