Virtual Fit-A-Thon -- 2 Days Left to Track Fit Minutes!!
Our biggest PTA fundraiser is going strong.
Funds Raised So Far: $12,600
Goal: $30,000
Students have until Friday to track Fit Minutes and we’ll continue collecting sponsorships/donations until March 19th. Students must be registered in order to track Fit Minutes and be eligible to win daily prizes! Prize winners will be notified via email.

Donation collection tip: Post a link to your child’s FundHub page on your Facebook page and the donations will roll in. It’s super exciting to see funds coming in from all over the country to support our school.

We are at 62% of our $175,000 goal for fundraising for NEXT school year (2021-2022). With these valuable funds, SME is able to pay for a music teacher, library coordinator, recreation/noon aides, behavior aide, community assistant, and intervention teacher/coach, and programming and specialists in art, dance, theatre, physical enrichment, coding, STEAM and foreign language.

CA COVID‐19 Rent Relief Available to Income Eligible Households: Income eligible households who need financial assistance for unpaid rent and utilities will be able to apply for help through the CA COVID‐19 Rent Relief program. If you have experienced a financial hardship due to COVID‐19, have past due rent or utilities, and have a household income that is not more than 80% of the area median income, you may be eligible to receive help to pay past due or future rent and utilities from the state of California. Landlords and renters can verify eligibility immediately by visiting HousingIsKey.com, or by calling 833‐430‐2122, and if eligible, apply.City of Hope Cooking Classes- City of Hope's chef ambassadors conduct classes on ingredients, the benefits they have and how they make you feel. African American Parent Council (AAPC) has scholarships to support college access and success: If you are a black student in PUSD in need of a stipend or reimbursement to cover the cost of college application fees, please apply. Complete the AAPC Request for Stipend Form and return it to the AAPC no later than April 30, 2021. Late submissions will not be accepted. Funds are limited and prompt submission is encouraged. Mindful Mondays: D'Veal Family and Youth Services is offering Mindful Mondays "Me Time" moment. Young & Healthy: Help with Earned Income Tax Credit and Filing Taxes: Young & Healthy has recently received a grant called TOMA, which is geared towards providing information to families who qualify for Earned Income Tax Credit and assist them in filing their tax returns. Young & Healthy has partnered with Day One to provide free tax assistance to Pasadena, Altadena, Pomona and El Monte residents. - COVID-19 Vaccine Appointment Call Center: For those without access to a computer or the internet, a Los Angeles County Department of Public Health call center is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. to help schedule appointments at 833-540-0473. Individuals are encouraged to use the website http://www.publichealth.lacounty.gov/media/Coronavirus/vaccine/index.htm whenever possible to sign up for an appointment to avoid long wait times on the phone.
