Monday, December 2 - Mad About Plaid!
It's December and we will have visitor's galore.
Wouldn't it be nice to greet them with a decorated door?
It's also Monday, but don't be mad...put on a smile and wear some PLAID!
Please have your room mother (or have your students do it!) decorate your door for the season. Please remember to keep the window open. This is a great thing to do on Turkey Trot Day!
Tuesday, December 3 - Have Your"selfie" a Merry Little Christmas
Spending time as a team is always a treat.
Include a "selfie challenge" and it can't be beat.
It's also the time of year for germs to run amuck.
Bring some soap for the bathrooms so we won't be feeling yuck!
A fun little "selfie " challenge has been created for you and you will find it in your boxes today. Your team is your grade level team or who you are normally on a team with. Some of it will take a little creativity, but nothing you can't handle.
Also, today is the day to bring soaps for the bathroom. We are in need of Christmas and wintry scents.

Thursday, December 5 - SNOW DAY!!! We wish!!
Snowflakes are beautiful as they fly through the air.
Send a snowflake to a colleague just to show you care.
Wear something white or blue today as well.
We might actually entice the snow to come...you can never tell!
While it is "snowing" Santa's elves are busy wrapping away.
Bring a large Christmas gift bag to help them and make their day.
Snowflakes will be in your box today. Please write a message on them to a colleague and put them in their box.

Friday, December 6 - Christmas gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling!!!
Christmas songs get me tapping out a beat
Put on your Christmas socks today and have some happy feet!
Don't keep the sock fun just for you
Please bring a pair to share...I'll be so glad if you do!
Wear your fun Christmas socks and bring a pair of adult socks for 2nd grade to take to the nursing home residents.
Monday, December 9 - Run, Run Rudolph!!
All of those teacher kids, we all know their names...
Won't we have fun this afternoon when the kids and all the teachers play some reindeer games?
It's always great when we have spills to have just what we need and not to stress
Please bring a roll of paper towels to help us quickly wipe up our mess.
Today is the day of the Faculty Kiddos Party!
We will have cookies and other snacks in the cafeteria right at 4:00 after UIL practice and then we will go into the gym and have a few "reindeer games"!
You are not required to stay by any means, but I think it will be a fun time.
Wear your jogging suit (no yoga or tight workout pants) and antlers if you have them so you are ready to participate!
Bring a roll of paper towels for the teacher's lounge.
Tuesday, December 10 - Red and Green at the Party Scene!!
Everyone is invited
You all can come and go!
But please don't miss your chance
To yell out B-I-N-G-O!!
Treats will be at the party
But sometimes on regular days
We need a little yummy snack
I don't care what anyone says!!!!
Today is our Annual Faculty Christmas Bingo Party at the American Legion Hall. It will begin at 4:00 and last until around 6 or so. Please bring a snack of some sort or a dessert and a $15 gift for a Bingo prize. Also, bring the drink of your choice. Wear red and green today so we all look festive!
All homeroom teachers are encouraged to bring a box of hot chocolate today for the mailroom and all other staff are asked to bring a bag of popcorn kernels for our popcorn machine.
Wednesday, December 11 - Selfie with an Elfie
For the selfie challenge one item says selfie with an elf
I wasn't very sure if you could find one by yourself.
So I made sure that an elf would be here today
Take your picture with him quickly before he's on his way!
Wear your Christas t-shirt and jeans so you will look picture ready.
This is a very happy elf so make sure and hold your camera steady!
There is an elf that is visiting our school today (you will know him when you see him). Make sure and get your picture with him for the selfie challenge. Wear a Christmas t-shirt and blue jeans today. Today is the day to bring your drinks for UIL that you signed up for as well.
Thursday, December 12 - Shine Bright Like a Light!
Today is the day to spread holiday cheer.
Wear Santa Hats, jingle bells, antlers, elf hats, or any holiday head gear!
To make the day even brighter, get your team together and form a choir.
Sing a Christmas carol and post on Facebook.
I bet all the kids and parents give you a second look!
Wear any kind of shiny holiday trimming you like (glitter, sequins, hats, whatever...), get together with your team to sing a Christmas carol, and post it on Facebook. Tag me in it for a little prize! Bring a sleeve of cups for the workroom today as well.

Wear your Rollercoaster Anderson-Shiro Elementary shirt today and bring whatever you signed up for on the Appetizer/Dessert Sign Up Sheet for the hospitality room. You also have either a movie title or a movie quote in your box this morning. See if you can match up your quote to the correct movie and stop down for a little prize in the office. Your gift today is a Soup Bar from the Office Staff for lunch!

Those PK-1st graders that tonight will be singing a tune!
Cookie Swap today before the PK-1st grade Christmas program. More information to come about that. Wear jeans and a Christmas shirt. Homeroom teachers bring spoons and all others staff bring forks for the lounge.

We are on the downhill slide my friend!
Wear your ugliest Christmas sweater, take a photo with friends, post to Facebook, and the picture with the most likes wins a prize!
We will also be playing Christmas Carol Bingo over the intercom before and after the Christmas program. You have a card in your box. When I play a Christmas carol, mark your card. If your class bingos, bring your card down for a prize from the office!
We will also have our Secret Santa Reveal today at 3:30 in the library!!

Christmas isn't only for children it seems.
Today is Polar Express Day. We will have our 2nd annual train ride for PK-1st graders, show the movie in your rooms today if you wish, wear your PJs, and get ready for pictures with Santa. Tons going on today for our last full day before Christmas!
Also, Mrs. Jolly will be going around collecting $1 for the Grimes County Animal Shelter so be ready!

There is a Christmas card in your box. Please draw a name from the bowl of names by the sign-in sheet ,write a Christmas message to them in the card, and place it in their box. Everyone is free to go when the students are gone. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
