DEAR CARDINAL FAMILIES,
We have arrived...the last week of school. For every ounce of challenge this year has thrown at us, we have overcome with an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the opportunity to be together, teaching and learning, in person. Thank you, parents and caretakers, for your support this year. We could not have done it without you!!
PTO Cardinal Spirit Wear came in on Friday but some orders were missing. We are expecting them to arrive today.
Monday is "Bump Up Day." Your child will get to visit his/her teacher for next year and learn a little about what to expect in the next grade level. Please check with your child after school on Monday to find next year's teacher information, a school calendar, a school supply list, etc.
Tuesday is " Field Day." We would like to thank PTO for all of their support with helping to make our Field Day very special this year. They arranged for a Circus performance, supplied the cotton candy and purchased Field Day t-shirts for our elementary student. WE CANNOT THANK THEM ENOUGH!!! The Circus performance will be in the morning on Tuesday so students will need something to sit on in the grass as it will likely still be damp. We are recommending that they bring a towel that can also be used for the picnic lunch as well. The school lunch option will be a grilled hotdog. A cheese or peanut butter sandwich option will not be available.
Wednesday is the last day for students and it is only a half day. Elementary students will dismiss by 12:00 that day. We will begin loading students who are picked up in cars at 11:45. Buses will load at approximately 12:00. The school lunch option will be a sub sandwich. A cheese or peanut butter sandwich option will not be available.
Be sure to return all school devices, hotspots, chargers, etc. Just a reminder that all school issued hotspots and Chromebooks must be returned to school before Wednesday. Please be sure that the chargers are also returned. Parents will be responsible for for the cost of any hotspot or device not returned.
Summer Success Program Information- For those students who are signed up to attend the Summer Success program, information will be communicated over the next week. Summer bus routes are almost completed. We will be notifying you of the bus times, if you requested transportation. Summer Success starts on June 7 and runs through July 15th. It will be Monday-Thursday from 8:00-12:00 each day. School supplies and materials will be provided. 2020-21 School Calendar
Elementary Arrival and Dismissal Procedures:
AM
All students now enter door #9 at 8:25 (no longer door #8 for breakfast only) whether going to breakfast or straight to homeroom class.
All students must be in class prior to the tardy bell that rings at 8:50
PM
Car riders' pickup- begins at 3:00 (must have a car tag- call the office for one)
Walkers- released at door #8 at 3:10 (parents- please do not pick up walkers in cars- it creates safety issues and car pickup line issues. If you want to pick your walker up in a car, get a car tag and add them to the car pickup plan).
Buses- Begin loading at 3:20
