MARCH NEWSLETTER
PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Hello DMHS Families,
We have some exciting news for you.
National Blue Ribbon Celebration
On Thursday, February 15, we celebrated our National Blue Ribbon award as a school during Advisory. Our student body, and staff are so proud of this accomplishment and deserved a celebration.
School Experience Survey
The district’s School Experience Survey began on Monday, February 12, 2024. The deadline for parents to complete your survey is Friday, March 22, 2024.
We strongly encourage parents to take the survey online by going to https://www.lausd.org/TakeTheSES and clicking the “Parent Survey” button near the bottom of the page. The parent survey is available in different languages. The survey can be completed on any digital device, including the computers provided by Los Angeles Unified. If you are not able to take the survey online, a limited number of paper surveys are available at our school. Please contact us for details. Our school name appears as DBM.
As part of the school community, your opinions are important. We would like to hear from you about your experience at our school. Thank you for your cooperation and support.
SAT
On March 20th, 11th graders will be taking the SAT.
What is the SAT?
The SAT is a standardized test widely used for college admissions. Even Though UCs (University of California) and CSs (California States) universities don't require it anymore. We still encourage students to take it because there are still some private schools and out of state universities that may require it.
