Restoring hope in the society; The Face Forward way
Today a lot of people face challenges of so many kinds as they go about their lives. One of the main problems that face society today is that women and children suffer at the hands of men who do not have any mercy. Face Forward receives cases of violence regularly and it is so hard to imagine why a human being who is sane would inflict so much harm on someone they have shared their lives with for such a long time. Some of the violent acts against women can leave you stricken with grief and disbelief. Why would someone strike their wife with a machete, why shoot her with your gun? Why would anyone even raise their hand on their wife? This is not the society that we are supposed to grow up in. It surely is not how to bring up children either.
Deborah Alessi’s struggle in an abusive relationship almost cost her one precious thing that she has, her life. She was a brilliant girl from a young age, and she managed to be the best at all she did. This saw her get an employment opportunity with one of the best airlines in the world, Gulf Air and her unique persona earned her an opportunity to work on a private jet for one of the wealthiest families in the world. In the course of her voyages across the world she was able to learn so much and see a lot of women and children suffer and this touched her heart. Her desire to help people has seen her through Face Forward transform the lives of a lot of victims of domestic and gang related violence and give them hope of survival even when things get so tough.
When you get the chance to travel to so many countries, you will get exposed to the world in so many ways. This will also give you the chance to encounter a lot of cultures and share experiences that might be quite the eye opener. Deborah’s experiences from time to time touched her heart, and coupled with the challenges she faced in her relationship, she had the courage to move on.
Today through Face Forward Deborah fights the war for so many women and children who do not have anyone to fight for them. A lot of the victims have been able to start a new life because someone gave them hope where there was none.
