End of the Year Retirement
Dear Seton Parents,
It has been my absolute privilege and joy to teach Music at Seton for the last 15-plus years and to be involved as a parent and volunteer in many roles for another 15 years before that. So it is with very mixed emotions that I have decided to retire from teaching at the end of this school year. My decision is due solely to family reasons. I have found the need to be more present and available to my family at this point in my life. My husband has already been retired for over three years, my second grandchild was born this past year, and both my husband's and my mothers are in increasing need of assistance. Unfortunately, our children, grandchildren and mothers all live at a distance that requires more time and flexibility to travel and take time away from home than a teaching schedule can allow.
I have promised Dr. Nardi that I will assist in any way that I can in the search for a new music teacher and have even offered to mentor someone, if needed. I am very thankful for her understanding and support. I love my job, I love the kids, we have a fantastic staff, and we have strong, talented leadership in our principal, our priests and our school board. I wish I could be in two places at once! I will not be completely absent from our school and faith community, since I will be continuing in my position as a Music Director at Holy Name of Jesus Church, and I intend to be a liaison for the school's use of parish music resources. You might even see me puttering in the gardens around the school.
As much as I will miss teaching at Seton, I am looking forward to the new opportunities God is giving me in this next chapter of my life.
God bless you all,
Mrs. Engman

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Mane Event 2020
St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Mane Event 2020
What is Mane Event?
The Mane Event is one of our schools largest fundraisers. We have a dinner, cash bar, silent auction and live auction. Each year there is a different theme. This years’ theme is Now and Then, taking a look back at all the school’s history. We will be introducing a VIP Whiskey Bar which will include chair massages and specialty hors d’oeuvres and desserts. There will also be a live band, beer/wine tasting and all-you-can eat buffet for all!
When is Mane Event?
In Seton Cafeteria on Saturday March 14th from 5pm-10pm
Can I help without being in charge of something?
Of course! We have quite a few volunteers who are only available to help behind the scenes. Whether it is a few hours of volunteer time or just one day, we are very appreciative.
Do I have to attend the meetings to help?
No. However, attending the meetings can help if you decide to take on a larger role, but even then is not always necessary. A lot of our communication is done through email, phone calls/text or even catching up at drop off and pick up.
Who do I contact if I want to help?
Natalie Kohlhagen – natalie.kohlhagen@gmail.com or 920-254-7616
Where is help needed this year?
1. Silent Auction –picking up donations and creating packages
2. Raffle Ticket Sales – We have an amazing raffle! The office will be selling a majority of the tickets which only leaves us with needing a few people to sell tickets after masses.
3. Coming out soon - Sign-Up Genius: volunteers needed on March 13th and 14th.
Please consider helping us out. This fundraiser CANNOT happen without volunteers.
All are welcome – parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle or family friend!
Do You Have Old Eyeglasses Sitting Around?
There are millions of people in the world today who need eyeglasses to see clearly. Globally, one child in four cannot see well enough to learn to read without glasses. By age 40, 90% of adults experience a decrease in the ability to read print and need eyeglasses. Many developing countries lack the resources to manufacture quality lenses. The cost of imported eyeglasses is far beyond the means of the average citizen. Millions will fail to reach their economic, educational, and social potential without access to quality glasses.
Looking for a More Specific Way to Give?
Replacement of our school laminator. Total cost was $2000 but $1000 has already been covered by a donation. Remaining balance is $1000.
Continued work on our STEAM lab. Total budgeted cost is $23,000 but $8500 has been covered by a donation and a grant. Remaining balance is $14,500 to purchase teacher tech, some cabinets, and a 3D printer with supplies.
Items you may have at home. We continue to look for materials to use in our STEAM lab. Consider donating new or gently used wooden blocks, Legos, and craft materials.
