TMHS Wildcat Choir
We've had a great week here in the choir room! All of choirs are working hard on their UIL Evaluation repertoire, as well as choosing solos, and improving our sight-reading skills!
Please work hard during this difficult time of year to stay healthy, take care of yourselves, and continue to follow all the necessary steps to keep you and your family members safe! Every voice here is an important and valuable member of the team! We need you!
Have a great week!

Chorale: Altos
The Belles: Soprano 2
Bel Canto: Soprano 2
The Major Chords: Basses
Choir Spirit Student of the Week: Nate Edwards
Upcoming Flag Dates: February 15
Participate in our President's Day Flag Fundraiser to earn choir scholarship points!! We will distribute flags on Saturday, February 13. We will be at MINI-U storage on Spring Cypress from 9-10AM for flag pick up. We will leave the flags out until Sunday, February 21. We will be at the storage unit for flag return from 3-4PM to accept flags.
THIS IS AN AMAZING OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE YOUR CHOIR EXPENSES COVERED BY EARNING SCHOLARSHIP POINTS! You can earn $2 per flag placed & picked up! So for only 50 flags (about an hour each time), you can earn $100 in scholarship points to spend on choir expenses including all fees and our awesome trips!
PLEASE BE PROMPT WITH BOTH PICK-UP AND RETURN OF FLAGS! These times are when someone will be at there to give & receive the flags, NOT when you should start collecting the flags for return. You can pick up the day before but you will need to store the flags in a secure location until the return time. The flag committee is made up of volunteers who are giving their personal time to be there.
**PLEASE BE SURE YOU ARE ABLE TO FULFILL BOTH THE DISTRIBUTION AND PICK-UP OF FLAGS BEFORE YOU COMMIT OR PARTNER WITH A FRIEND TO EACH DO ONE DAY OR DO THEM BOTH TOGETHER & SPLIT THE POINTS!

Solo and Ensemble Contest: Saturday February 27 at TMHS
Students interested in participating, we will begin choosing solo pieces and working on them in the coming weeks.
The fee to participate is $40 per student and cover the cost of entry fee rehearsal/performance with a provided accompanist.
Solo and Ensemble Fees will be due by January 29.
Students prepare and memorize a solo piece and will perform it for a judge and receive a rating.
We encourage all of our choir students to participate in this valuable opportunity for learning and musical growth!
Senior Class of 2021
Each year, our fabulous booster club puts together a beautiful memory book for the senior class. All choir seniors need to find a baby and senior picture, and compose a short senior story that includes how choir has impacted your life, thank you's, and your plans for after graduation (college, work force, etc)
Please send your senior story and pictures to tmhswildcatchoir@gmail.com by March 31.
Senior Scholarships
Choir students interested in applying for a senior scholarship should complete the application (click below). Please make sure to carefully read the specific criteria provided in the application, and submit your application and essay by the firm deadline of March 31.
