iJOBS Site Visit: NJ Innovation Institute
New Jersey Innovation Institute (NJII) was founded in 2014 and combines the vast resources of NJIT, strong industry and government relationships, and proven methods to drive innovation and deliver transformative products and services. The Entrepreneurship team oversees incubator and accelerator programs at VentureLink. They are a tech venture hub for those who want to bring technology to market. Come to meet the scientist and companies that reside in the incubator that is now led by Rutgers alum Michael Johnson, PhD who founded Visikol while he was still in graduate school and has become wildly successful. We will also get to tour the labs and learn what skill sets they are looking for in new hires for fresh PhD graduates and postdocs.

Bridge Builders: Empowering Scientists to Inform State Policy Through the Committee Hearing Process
A workshop for scientists, engineers and healthcare professionals on effective committee testimony navigation, communication, and participation as a subject matter expert.
Join the Eagleton Institute of Politics on Friday, March 22 at 10:00 am at Woodlawn, New Brunswick campus, for an engaging panel discussion and workshop on how your expertise can contribute to the evidence-based policymaking during the New Jersey State legislators’ bill discussion and committee meeting processes. Panel will be followed by small-group expert-led discussions with tips on drafting and submitting a compelling written testimony.
This workshop is prepared in collaboration with The Boggs Center on Developmental Disabilities and its Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities Program. It is open to graduate students, post-docs, faculty, staff and professionals from various backgrounds, including, but not limited to, science, engineering, healthcare, law, social sciences, business, communications, and more.

NIH F-Series Fellowship Grant Writing Workshop
Interested in submitting an NIH F-Series Fellowship application? This is a great workshop to get your started on your F31, F32, F30 and F99/K00 applications. Join the Grant Writing F-Fellowship workshop on Tuesday, April 16th, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. EST. All interested students and Postdocs are welcome to attend this in-person session in Piscataway, NJ, at EOHSI (Room C). All others can participate via Zoom.
