Parents of 4th and 5th Graders
Hello Manchester Park families!
I’m thrilled to announce that we will be having 4th and 5th grade Special Chorus this year! I am so excited to be able to make music with your children this year, especially since we were unable to do choir last year. This year, 4th grade rehearsals will be on Tuesdays from 7:45-8:15 am, 5th grade rehearsals will be on Thursdays from 7:45-8:15 am, and combined 4th and 5th grade rehearsals will be on Fridays from 7:45-8:15 am. More details are included on the registration form.
If your child is interested in signing up for special chorus, please use this link to fill out a registration form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfTVamTAuJpZKEzKqHxMxDxhvyzuKfv5PfosC652a9JaunRUg/viewform?usp=sf_link
If you have any questions about attendance, rehearsal or performance dates, or anything else, feel free to reach out to me at pmnicholson@olatheschools.org
Please complete registration by 4 pm on Thursday Sept. 24th. Since I only do one t-shirt order for the whole year, I will not be able to accept mid-year registrations.
Again, I am SO excited to start singing with these awesome students!

Fun Run 2021
PTO Items
A note from your PTO:
It takes a village and the Manchester Park Village is strong! The PTO can not thank you enough for all of your support and generosity. The Fun Run was a huge success on so many levels! Not only did we well surpass the goal of $25,000, reaching $33,690.62 but the Fun Run on Friday was amazing. The day was filled with parents, volunteers, popsicles, enthusiasm, dancing, and a lot of running by the hardworking students. A special thank you to Mrs. Steele and the MP teachers and staff for all their support in coordinating this event. Another shout out to the Fun Run Committee who worked for months getting business sponsors, prize donations, and planning the entire day, Natalie Hughes, Bri Harris, Gina Babb, Krystal Hager-Cowick. Manchester Park is full of rockstars. Thank you to everyone! It took each and every one of you to make this happen.

Repeated Items
Lunch Menu Changes
Due to supply chain, factory employee shortages, and delayed deliveries the lunch menus can and will change daily.
Below are options to help you keep up with daily changes:
- Parents can check the website before coming to school.
2. Discard all printed menus, as they are most likely not correct.
Student Arrival and Dismissal
Please remember to take all safety precautions when bringing students to school. This includes directing your children to cross ONLY at safe locations, at intersections or where crossing guards are present. Never in the middle of a block.
PM Dismissal
Help teach your children their car number so they can listen and be ready for pick-up once their car number is announced. This will help keep the car line moving. We discourage you from using a separate location to meet your child, but if this does occur, remember to instruct them to a safe crossing location. We need to be good neighbors to nearby residents and not block their driveways and mailboxes.
If you require extra time to buckle up safety seats or converse with a staff member, please park your car in the annex parking lot (by the playground) and walk up to meet your child. Do not park in the main parking lot, as that requires student crossing in car traffic.
We're welcoming and dismissing nearly 600 children each day, and this takes time to complete in a manner that keeps everyone safe.
