New Information
MAP Testing
We begin MAP testing very soon! Please join us in a spirit week celebrating and encouraging our test-takers!
MAP Testing Begins
Compass will begin state testing for 3rd-5th graders on April 22. This does mean a change in schedules for specials and recess for K-5 (there will not be a change in lunch for any grades).
See below for when 3rd-5th graders will be assessed. It is important that students get a good night's sleep and a good breakfast prior to testing. If your student is going to arrive late, he/she may miss their test that day. Please try your best to get your student to school on time, on their testing day(s).
Thank you so much for your support!!
Purple- Up Day
Purple Up Day 2023 will be celebrated on April 17 in the US!

Birthday Treats
We believe that birthdays are an important time in a child’s life, and Compass students will receive a Birthday Book in celebration of their special day. However, for several reasons including increased food allergies, preservation of the instructional day, and student equality, students are not allowed to bring treats from home or a store or have flowers/balloons or other items delivered to the classroom for birthdays, going-away parties, or other personal events. If a student receives a delivery at school, the student will be notified to come to the office to view the item. Parents will be responsible for transporting the item home. Birthday party invitations may only be distributed if invitations are given to every student in the class.
