Interested in Playing in College?
Hey Tigers! We are so lucky to have college coaches that have already been watching our games! If you are interested in playing in college, the most important thing is communication between you and the coach you want to play for. Send them emails and updates so you stay on their radar!
PROSPECT PLAYER TO-DO
- Create a profile on Heja with your phone number, email, jersey #, and profile picture. That way, we can send your information easily to coaches who are interested in you/you are interested in!
- Email coaches and invite them to see you play! When you email a coach, be friendly and genuine. They want to know your awesome personality fits on their team, too! Make sure to include your jersey number, graduation year, your high school, and some upcoming dates you will be playing. Tournaments this winter at Nook would be a great opportunity for coaches to watch you play! If you have footage of yourself playing, include that too.
- Sign up for prospect clinics! Clinics at colleges are the most effective way to get noticed by a college coach. Go to the college of your choosing's website and look for upcoming prospect clinics they might be holding.
STRENGTH TRAINING
FORTIUS offers dynamic fitness training. Coach Victoria, Coach Liz, Lily and Cece have trained with the FORTIUS coaches for the last 10 years with fantastic results. Colleges are looking for players that have the strength and endurance to dominate on the field. We at Tigers Field Hockey cannot recommend FORTIUS enough to develop your game!
"We invite Tiger Field Hockey to experience the FORTIUS difference, first-hand. It's not just a matter of reps and sets. Haphazard effort is wasted effort, and can backfire in injury. Our performance training is science-based and results driven. Our training program will make you stronger, fitter, and more explosive on (and off) the field, safely."
