Upcoming Testing
Our students will be taking the state-mandated standardized tests beginning the week of April 8th. The schedule is as follows:
Wednesday, April 10th: MSTEP 6, MSTEP 7, PSAT 8, PSAT 9, PSAT 10, SAT (NO SCHOOL for Seniors)
Thursday, April 11th:, MSTEP 6, MSTEP 7, MSTEP 8, ACT Workkeys
Tuesday, April 16th: MSTEP 11
All-call reminders will be made the night before each testing day. Students can be preparing for these tests by working in the Test Prep sections of IXL. They should get a good night's sleep each evening and be sure that their Chromebook is charged. They should also have a charger with them. A hot breakfast will be available each day.
Information for Families of Seniors
Please be on the lookout for year-end information after Spring Break. (Some dates are posted below.) The Senior Class advisors have created a Class of 2024 Google Classroom where they post information. Please be sure that your child is checking this regularly.
Coming up soon: Baby picture due to Mr. Rees by Friday, April 5th.
Student Chromebooks
We kindly ask that you remind your child(ren) that the Chromebook they have been issued to use is an expensive piece of technology. A new device costs $250 and a screen replacement is $50. Sadly, we are seeing what looks to be intentional damage. The handbook states (page 20), "Destruction of Technology Equipment - Knowingly and willfully..will result in the student having to reimburse the district...". Thank you for your help with this.
Student Handbook Reminders
With warm weather on the way, please be sure to review the dress code. Students should make sure that shorts, skirts, and dresses are at least knuckle-length as measured when fists are made with shoulders relaxed and arms fully extended down on the sides.
ONGOING INFORMATIONAL ITEMS:
After-School Support
We are continuing to offer after-school support on Tuesday and Thursday until 4:00 pm. Please check the Daily Bulletin on our website for availability each week.
REMINDER: There is No Parking in Front of the Building from 7:30-8:00 AM & 2:30-3:00 PM
This will allow morning drop-off to go more smoothly and bus parking for dismissal. If you have an early morning meeting scheduled, please park in the west (student) lot. If you need to pick your child up early from school, please call the office to let us know which lot you will be parked in (west lot/student parking lot or south lot/staff parking lot) and we will send your child(ren) to you. (Remember, buses can begin pulling up in front of the building as early as 2:30pm.) Thank you in advance for your cooperation with this.
Viking Care Center Help is Available
As a reminder, the Viking Care Center was established as a way to give students and their families help by providing items that are needed. We currently have clothing, including Prom dresses, dress pants and shirts, shoes, toiletries, some food items, and some laundry products available at the school. Please have your child talk with someone here at school or feel free to contact the office about the needs your family may be facing. We would love to help!

Message From Mrs. Crabill
If you have not already heard, I would like to let everyone know that I have submitted my letter of retirement to Mrs. Wall as I will be joining my husband in retirement the end of this school year. When I was hired the beginning of August, it was well known that I may only be here for one year. Over these last few months, I have worked diligently to establish systems and procedures to allow Bronson Jr. Sr. High School to function at higher levels than previously experienced. I have no doubt that with the amazing staff that this work will continue, and I feel confident that I have made a positive difference in the lives of both staff and students. Please know that I will continue to work hard for the remainder of my time here as I wish nothing but the best for Bronson Jr. Sr. High School and Bronson Community Schools. Once a Viking, always a Viking!
