News from Mr. Schettler
Winter is here so making sure we have coats, hats, gloves, snow boots, and snow pants along with you everyday. We are focusing on using hand sanitizer, wiping down our desks, and keeping our hands to ourselves on a daily basis to try and keep the cold and flu from spreading during this winter season. Our mission this past week, “Keep Your Space Bubble”, is aimed to really focus on keeping our personal space, respecting the personal space of other people, and preventing the spread of germs.
The students are just finishing up their FAST testing, so be on the lookout for those results coming home in Friday folders. We have shown great progress since the beginning of the year in many areas, so continue to encourage your child to do their best and acknowledge their successes.
Since we have implemented our first E-learning snow day this year, please make sure the students finish the day one materials by Friday, January 24th. Students will have a gold folder in their backpack that contains two days of work in an event that we have consecutive snow days. Teachers will be available via email (first initial.last name@isd511.net) from 10:00 - 3:00. Here is a link to the AES E-learning plan if you would like more information pertaining to it.
Just a reminder, it is the middle of the trimester, so be on the lookout for grades coming home if you have students in grades 3-5. Report cards will be going home with your student on Friday, January 24th. Have a great week!

0-5 Census Form
Every Minnestoa School District is required by law to maintain an annual birth – 5 year old census. This information is used by the Minnesota Department of Education to determine our District’s share of State Education dollars.
The Adrian School District will use these records to notify district parents about ECFE classes (Early Childhood & Family Education), Preschool Screening (starting at age 3) and Kindergarten Roundup held in the Spring (prior to school entrance).
Please visit our website at www.isd511.net to fill out a census form or call Adrian Elementary at 507.483.2225 for more details.
