South Euless Elementary Newsletter
November 2019
Welcome November!
November is a month in which we spend time focusing on thankfulness. I personally feel very grateful to be the principal of South Euless. I come to school every day surrounded by passionate educators, amazing students, and supportive families. South Euless Elementary is truly the best!
About this time of the school year, students are comfortable in their environment and like siblings, they can at times get on each other's nerves. Our children are learning how to behave in social situations and have to be taught what respect and kindness looks and feels like. These are hard lessons to learn such as, you can't always have your way, other people have rights too, and you can successfully disagree without hating each other. Our children are growing and learning. It takes time. Talk with your kiddos about how they can help themselves or a friend cope with the stresses of growing up.
HEB ISD elementary schools practice Conscious Discipline which is an approach designed to build the social-emotional well being of our students. We are working hard to maintain a campus culture that supports and fosters meaningful, caring, safe, and empowering relationships. Thank you for your support of our campus mission!
With Love,
Mrs. Sterling
