By Taylor Gittinger
What is Heroin?

Ways Heroin can enter your body and Its Effects
Heroin can be injected, sniffed, or smoked to enter the body. These methods bring the drug to the brain almost immediately. This is a high risk for addiction and receiving Chronic relapsing disease- the uncontrollable urge from the brain to seek out dangerous drugs no matter the consequences. Once the Heroin reaches the brain, it's converted in morphine and binds to the opioid receptors. This causing a pleasurable sense of rush throughout the body. Warm flushing sensations in the skin, vomiting, impossible mental judgment, and its long term effects can result in slow breathing patterns that can cause permanent brain damage or slip into a coma. Death can be expected when this drug is abused.
