Night at the Museum
There will be a letter at the end of April explaining what the students need to complete at home. For now they need to focus on doing research in the classroom.
Finally, please be sure to check if there are any Battle of Books texts at your house and have your child return them.
Reading
We also started a new unit on Greek Myths. Students read about Pandora's Box and King Midas' Golden Touch and then wrote a compare and contrast piece about the two. My goal with mythology is that students will be able to understand words and phrases that allude to Greek Mythology and understand their meaning and where those phrases/words come from.

Math
Before break we wrapped up chapter 5. This week we spent some time reviewing concepts from chapter 5, and we started learning about fractions. We used models to create equivalent fractions, and then we learned how to use multiplication to find equivalent fractions.
