And... We're BACK!
We're looking forward to starting the school year on Tuesday, September 8th!
New Traffic Patterns When Arriving At and Departing From JHHS
Due to safety procedures during the COVID 19 Crisis, we have some changes to our arrival and departure from school.
Arrival at School:
Students will not be allowed in the building until 8:05. Students will enter in the morning via the main gym lobby and the back bus drop off. School will start at 8:25. After 8:25, students will enter the school through the main office doors off of the Handley circle.
Bus Riders:
Students riding the bus will be dropped off at the back of the school and enter the building through the main cafeteria doors
Bus riders will have their temperatures taken before entering the building and use hand sanitizer
After bus riders have had their temperature checked, they may go to the main cafeteria for grab and go breakfast
Bus riders must proceed to their home room/first block class
Walkers & Car Riders:
All students arriving to school other than a bus will enter the building through the Hunter Maddox Gymnasium doors
Students will use hand sanitizer when entering the building
Students will move to the main gym to the temperature taking stations
After students have had their temperature checked they may go to the main cafeteria for grab and go breakfast
Students must proceed to their home room/first block class
Departure from School:
3:15 ----- All bus riders will be dismissed
3:20 ------ First floor not riding a bus
3:22 ------ All other floors not riding a bus
Bus riders will use the Handley circle to exit the building.
All others may use any of our doors to exit.
After the buses have departed, parents and students can use all exits.
First Day Reminders
- In order to ensure your child’s health and safety we ask that you DO NOT send your child to school if he/she is sick, including recent vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue/muscle aches, cough, sore throat, or fever of 100.4 degrees or more. They must be symptom-free for 24 hours before they can return to school, and without medication to keep their temperature down. This does not pertain to a positive COVID test.
- A student must be picked up within 1 hour of notifying the parent, guardian or emergency contact that he/she is sick or injured at school. IMPORTANT: It is imperative to update your child’s contact information in the office every school year or when any changes occur.
- Over-the-counter medications may be administered to students in grades 5-12 with written parental permission. Students younger than 5th grade may only be administered medications at school if a medical authorization form is completed by a healthcare provider and the parent/guardian.
- NEW THIS YEAR: There will no longer be stock medications supplied in the clinic. Parents of students in grades 5-12 may bring in unopened over-the-counter medication for their child if needed during the school year.
- NO outside foods/snacks are to be brought into your child’s school due to health and safety concerns at this time.
- Para garantizar la salud y la seguridad de su estudiante, le pedimos que NO envíe a su estudiante a la escuela si está enfermo, incluidos vómitos recientes, diarrea, fatiga / dolores musculares, tos, dolor de garganta o fiebre de 100.4 grados o más. Meal Pick-Up Survey
During the 2020-2021 school year, free meals for all students will be available for pickup at each school on Wednesdays from 11 am until 1 pm. Students do not need to be present for meal pick-up and no documentation is required.
Students will receive one breakfast and one lunch for each day they are not physically in school.
- Hybrid schedule students will receive 3 breakfasts and 3 lunches.
- 100% Distance Learning students will receive 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches.
- You can pick up meals for all your children at one single school

Si ustedes quiere almuerzo escolar gratis, así es como ustedes puede ordenar uno:

Aprendices a Distancia- si ustedes quieren recoger almuerzos los miércoles, completen el formulario los miércoles antes de las 8:45am.
Estudiantes de dia A & B si ustedes les gustaría recoger un bolsa de almuerzo los miercoles- por favor completen el formulario los miércoles en la mañana.
Los almuerzos de los miércoles pueden ser recogidos atrás de la escuela en el área de bajada de autobuses de la mañana entre las 11 a 1pm.
Process for Ordering Lunch
If you want a free school lunch, this is how you order one:
1. Use the Fall 2020 Lunch Order Form which is located in two places:
- On your Chromebook classlink SSO portal
- On the JHHS website
2. This form needs to be completed by 8:45 am each day. This form is to be completed ONLY on the required day(s):
- A day students - if you want a hot lunch at school - complete the form on Mondays and Thursdays
- B day students - if you want a hot lunch at school - complete the form on Tuesdays and Fridays
3. Wednesdays:
- Distance Learners - if you want to pick up lunch on Wednesdays - complete the form on Wednesday morning by 8:45
- A & B day students, if you would like to pick up a bag lunch on Wednesdays - please complete the form Wednesday morning
Wednesday lunches may be picked up behind the school at the back a.m. bus drop-off area between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
