What is Echoes and Reflections?

Echoes and Reflections is a comprehensive Holocaust education program that delivers professional development and a rich array of resources for middle and high school teachers.
This resource-intensive program includes extensive primary and secondary source materials aligned with modular, interdisciplinary lessons to help students understand what happened during the Holocaust, why it happened, and how it relates to difficult issues they face today. Every participant receives a free, comprehensive Teacher's Resource Guide.
Echoes and Reflections materials address Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts & Literacy in History/Social Studies. Social studies, history, Holocaust and genocide studies, English/language arts, media, technology, and fine arts teachers can incorporate Echoes and Reflections into their curriculum. The primary source materials, visual history testimony, photographs, maps, artwork, informational texts, and literary selections represent a variety of perspectives in diverse formats and media, providing an entry point to the study of the Holocaust from many different disciplines.
There is no cost to this training; 6 hours of Act 48 credit will be available. Lunch is on your own. This training also qualifies for Act 70 compliance.
