Attention Pre-health Professions Students!
The Professional School Advising (PSA) Group within the Career Center is dedicated to helping you achieve your goal to pursue professional education in the health professions or law school.
PSA staff assist current and former students by providing a variety of resources that include information on professional school selections, the application process, essay reviews, volunteer opportunities, workshops, and much more.
ECHO Healthcare Symposium - February 23, 2021
This annual event brings together representatives of healthcare programs from across Texas and the nation to speak with potential candidates about their school/program. Anyone interested in healthcare professions should take advantage of this great opportunity to learn more about these programs and what they are looking for in a candidate.
Advising
PSA advisors specialize in different types of programs and offer 1:1 and group advising sessions. Find your advisor on the 2021 List of PSA Advisors with contact information for scheduling an appointment. Advisors are happy to meet with you to discuss your goals!
Listservs
Each professional school program has its own listserv to keep you informed about advising opportunities, program information sessions, workshops, deadlines and resources. Joining your program's listserv is the best way to stay up-to-date and on track within your respective field. You can find and join one or more of the listservs HERE
Summer Opportunities for Pre-Health Students
The programs on this list offer great opportunities to get relevant and unique experiences that can set you apart from other applicants, help you network with current professionals and/or future colleagues, and develop or improve transferable skills. NOTE: Some programs are not happening in 2021 and some have deadlines that are quickly approaching. For more summer opportunities, see also the Sciences Internship List.
