Dear Families,
Consider this our Spring Break edition! We hope that you and your family enjoy a relaxing spring recess. Classes will resume bright and early on April 1. We also wanted to remind you of another quick break in our students' normal schedule. Enjoy April 8 as a day to take in the solar eclipse. HLS buildings will be closed that day to students.
Here's what's been going on and what's coming up at the high school!
What Do You Need To Know?
Ohio State Testing - IMPORTANT INFO!
We have released our state testing schedule for the high school OSTs. Please read this information carefully to ensure that your student reports to school at the proper times on the proper days during the month of April. Please contact the school with any questions you may have. This information was shared with students and is posted in their grade level Google Classrooms.
Student Leaders & Local Government
On Wednesday, March 20th, 2024, Mayor of Lockbourne Christie Ward invited Hamilton Township High School students from their Leadership Team, which includes Student Council, the Power Rangers, and Inclusivity Council, to attend a meeting with State Senator Hearcel Craig's Office in an attempt to secure funding for the Village of Lockbourne's latest addition to their Veteran's Park: a memorial wall with various panels honoring the base's rich history and how it has helped to shape our community and high school. To this day, many students who graduate from Hamilton Township High School and join the military, find their way to Rickenbacker, either for training, drills, active duty, or deployments.
We were so proud that Nick Morrow, Michelle Okoth, Emma Taylor, Cali Ferrell, RJ Santmire, and Gabrielle Schutte served as our student leadership representatives. They truly embody what it means to be a Ranger!
Student Involvement Fair = SUCCESS!
The Power Rangers and Student Inclusion Council teamed up to host our first ever Involvement Fair. We are so proud of our students for showing their passions and leadership skills. This event will continue to grow! Way to go, Rangers!
