Have not completed your mandatory online training that was due last week? Here are the instructions:
You will be receiving three emails titled "New Course Enrollment" which state that you have been enrolled in courses through our District's JPA Learning Library. These are state mandated courses which we are all required to complete annually. You will be provided time during your scheduled workdays in August to complete these trainings but we know that some of you may wish to get them out of the way earlier so we are providing the links ahead of time.
Here is information about how to access the courses:
- Please visit: https://www.jpalearninglibrary.com/login/100
- Your log-in is your CUSD email (firstname.lastname@coronadousd.net)
- Your password is the initial of your first name followed by your last name (example: Fred Elmtree’s password would be felmtree).
- When logged in, click "My Training" at the top. Then click the trainings listed at the bottom portion of the page.
- The mandated reporter course will take approximately 45-60 minutes to complete.
- The sexual harassment course will take approximately 60 minutes to complete.
- The blood-borne pathogen course will take approximately 15 minutes to complete.
- This year, you do NOT need to send in your certificates of completion as we can track completion through the on-line system.
Attendance Reminders from Doris:
Frontline Absence Report
Testing Center note from Ms. Luppi:
Reminder: the testing center is available during lunch for make up tests and quizzes. Please contact Ms. Daniela Luppi to access testing services for ALL CHS students.
Welcome our new employee:
A note from Ms. Orozco:
We have five diabetic students on campus who use their phones as a tool to monitor their blood sugar. These students need to have access to their phones. They either have, or will have an orange pass from the health office that has their initials on one side and Health Office phone pass on the other. Teachers of these students have been notified via an email.
Special directions from Ms. Landry: How to get notifications from PowerSchool so that you don't miss an email from a parent or student
Technology Tips and Updates
Netbook carts-if you use a netbook cart, please check the outside. Does it have a large number on it? Does it have a lock on the front and back of it (if applicable)? Do you know the combination to your cart? Look inside-Does it have a white inventory sheet in it showing device numbers and CU numbers? Does it have a colored sheet in it to record tech issues (you still need to place a tech ticket)? Please reach out to Jennifer if you are lacking any of the above information.
Tech tubs- they should also have an inventory sheet in them. They should now have a combo lock on them. Let me know if yours does not have a combo lock. If you still have the old lock and key, please put them in my mailbox.
Need Assistance with tech?- Please email me OR Marshall (if the issue is one he takes care of). Please DO NOT email both of us about the same issue at the same time. Not sure who to email? Email me and I will forward your message if it’s not something I can take care of. Thanks.
Do you have a netbook that shows it is disabled and to contact IT? It’s because it’s missing from another cart/tub. Please let me know if you have one of these netbooks and I’ll get it back to where it belongs.
I need everyone to click on the publish symbol under “Published Subtotal” in your PowerSchool grade book. If you don’t, students will not see their grade in the grade summary portion of the PS home page.
Request for a volunteer survey:
Tiffany Bouchard is currently in the Preliminary Administrative Services Credential (PASC) program through the San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE), and part of one of her assignments is to survey teachers at her site regarding literacy development opportunities for students. She would greatly appreciate it if you could take less than 5 minutes to complete this anonymous, 6-question, checkbox only Google Form. Please contact her if you have any questions and/or concerns: Tiffany.Bouchard@coronadousd.net.
