Starting June 5th, you can borrow up to 10 books for the summer!!!
Did you know that reading over the summer helps:

- expand your vocabulary
- improve your memory, focus, and concentration
- foster stronger analytical thinking skills
- improve writing skills
- increase your imagination
- keeps you on track to start your classes in the fall
Make your summer reading goals now! Maybe your goal is to read 2 books. Maybe it's to read 10 books. No matter what your goal....it starts with Parkville's library! Check out lots of books to get you through the summer. We also have eBooks available to you!
All students that check out book will receive a PHS Library Media Center bag to carry them!

Baltimore County Public Library Summer @ Your Library 2017
STEP ONE: Sign up at anytime between May 8 and August 20. Sign up at http://host7.evanced.info/bcpl/sr/homepage.asp?ProgramID=44
STEP TWO: Beginning on June 14, stop by any BCPL branch and pick up your game board and start the fun.
STEP THREE: Complete the activities on your game board for prizes and awards.
STEP FOUR: Keep up the fun through September 3. Names of participating kids will be shared with your schools.
Earn a raffle ticket for every three books that you read. Then, use them towards winning your choice of prizes.

Summer Lunches @ BCPL
Build a better body and mind this summer @ your library. Come in for a nutritious lunch and participate in a program or check out some materials while you are here!
BCPL is working with the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Baltimore County Public Schools to provide free lunches this summer to children 18 years old and younger (Children under 8 with an adult.) at selected branches. There are no income restrictions and registration is not required.
The program is offered Monday through Friday, June 19 through August 25. (No lunch served July 4.)
