Quick Look Ahead for the Week
Let's Get Ready for Halloween
We are excited for the Halloween activities that our Room Parents have designed for us. Since Halloween falls on a PLC day, we had to adjust party times.
- The parade begins at 1:15 p.m. Parents please join us outside of the building, weather permitting. If it is raining, we will hold the parade inside.
- NO FOOD or CANDY allowed. Please do not send it to school with your child.
- No look-alike weapons of any kind are allowed.
- Halloween costumes must meet all dress code guidelines.
- Masks are not encouraged because they do not allow for clear vision when walking and on the stairs.
- No high-heel shoes.
- Regular clothes should be worn to school. Students will change into costumes at lunchtime. 1ST GRADE ONLY - Since 1st grade's party is before lunch, students may come to school in their Halloween costumes.
How to Be a Manning Meteor
One of our main staples in each classroom that is established before any academic learning can take place is the social and emotional wellness of our students. Last year, we implemented the 2nd Step program with all students so that we can explcicitly reinforce and teach concepts in this domain. Below are links to some resources where you can learn more about the program. It also connects with our "How to Be a Manning Meteor" matirx for students.
